The Lox Brothers Mill and Farm is a well-known business on a secluded stretch of land at the edge of a wood, as the forest gives way to the open prairie.
Home to Norville, Ven and Beauregard Lox, the Mill has operated for years, providing grain to neighboring towns, as well as milk, meat and other goods. The farm consists of a large Windmill, the family farm house, a second house for the hired help and a large stables with an attached pig farm.
And while the brothers are respected businessmen, there are rumors about that strange things have been sighted upon the farm. Noises in the night, black smoke rising into the air from the mill and an eerie feeling farmers get when they interact with the family. It is widely whispered that the Lox farm isn't somewhere to tarry long.
Planned for beneath the mill is a mining and drug-making operation that is the real business of the family and their many hired hands. Young children stolen away from other farms, neighboring towns and the like are put to work below the mill, while others travel below ground to the northeastern hill to mine a substance they're able to grind and fashion into a highly-addictive drug they then peddle along with their wares.
