The "Meadwagon" Tavern & City Streets [45 x 47]

This battle map is the street level view of a twisting, low income neighborhood containing a popular tavern known as the “Meadwagon” and several local neighborhood shops.

Owned largely by the local thieves' guild and a few mercenary guilds, the entire neighborhood is a maze of alleys, hovels and homes that take care of their own, insulating the warrens people from the threat of the city watch or other outsiders seeking to bring violence into their home.

The map contains the following:

[27] Individual Homes, varying in size from 2 - 10 persons.

[7] Shops (Butcher, Glue Maker, Herbalist, Barber-Surgeon, Money Lender, Carpenter,Tailor/Seamstress)

Large Warehouse

Small Warehouse

[2] Bath Houses and Communal Privies

[4] Organization Buildings with Barracks and Officer Quarters

A smuggler's den and front office.

The "Meadwagon” Tavern, which is home to a group of rough andtumble mercenary hunters/trappers that operate out of a suite on the firstfloor.

An old statue of a past wealthy merchant that has since become aperching post for ravens.

A few isolated/internal areas for social/combat encounters.

There are several "walkways" from rooftop to rooftop that I decided to show at this level, so it's easy to understand where they are on the map, since players would easily be able to see and potentially access them.

Potential uses of the map:

I wanted to design this map for as many potential uses as possible. Here are a few of the plot hooks and/or uses I tried to include:

Social encounters at the tavern, shops or individual homes.

Urban combat encounters located at shops, markets, taverns, etc...

Locations for PC backstory family members.

Encounter map for city-maze or rooftop chase scenarios.

Social or Combat encounters between the party and a local thieves' guild (with a variety of environments, levels and locations to use).

There will eventually be [2] additional levels to this map:

A 2nd floor of the "Meadwagon" and the surrounding rooftops of the cityscape.

A lower level of several buildings that connects to tunnels and a sewer system.
