I am happy to present Stage 3 of the Yawning Portal Inn, a luxurious and entertaining 3rd floor that features many additional rooms and spaces to support any sprawling narrative!
The 3rd Floor contains a wealth of new spaces to explore, including scrying and teleportation services, a betting pool that tracks and bets on adventuring parties, a lending service that offers contracts for money, equipment, mercenaries and other goods/services, a faction representation of the Guardians of Antiquity - an adventuring faction represented in a few other maps, a shrine to Lathander (the deity followed by the innkeeper's wife), several suites and a few stuffed creatures you might recognize stuffed and decorating the hallways!
Plot Ideas
1. The PC's require a way to quickly join (or rejoin) others back below ground and must negotiate with a resident warlock that offers use of his teleportation portal, but for a fee that may put them in even more danger than they already are.
2. Looking to increase their chances of survival, the PC's could hook up with another party from the Guardians of Antiquity and tag along for one of their adventures as they seek a particular artifact.
3. A betting pool of wealthy merchants, traders and nobles has grown substantially large as adventurers race to recover a particular prize below ground. One of the nobles wants to secure his bet by sending some assassins down after the leading adventurer -- his rival has approached the party to try and stop them.
