Welcome to Whistlebay Harbor!

Port to a large city, this expansive harbor provides a wealth of opportunity for social and combat encounters within an urban environment.
The harbor has over 100 individual homes/buildings, several of which have interiors to help support your potential narrative(s) and more additions will likely be added in the future. The current points of interest are:

Drop Anchor Inn - A quaint, two-story tavern and inn on the waterfront that hosts incoming captains, crews and visitors to the port city. Run by an old sea dog rumored to have once served with the most infamous pirate on the seas. Long since retired from the sea, he enjoys the warmth of the hearth and stories of visiting sailors.

Harbormaster's Office - A large building containing a front office, common room, private quarters and barracks sits on the waterfront, serving as home and office for the harbormaster and his small contingent of guardsmen.

General Store - Across from the harbormaster's office is a general store dealing in a variety of goods brought from distant shores. If they don't have it, chances are they order it for you, be here in two weeks.

Temple of the Sea - Closer to the center of the waterfront district is a stone temple of the sea, a frequent stop for sailors and citizens both when praying for good weather and swift sails. A priest is often outside near a small pool, blessing visitors and outgoing sailors.

Shipping Office - A small shipping office dealing in the transport of goods from place to place exists among a close-knit group of buildings. They can make sure your goods find their destination for a fee, while the organization behind them is also rumored to offer a variety of other shady services.

Small Warehouse - A small warehouse on the eastern waterfront provides a location to store goods, steal goods, find goods...things with goods.

Mercenary Compound - One of a few mercenary outfits in town, this compound provides a common room, officer's quarters, kitchen, barracks and sparring yard for a mercenary guild operating out of the area.

Stables - Located on the eastern waterfront, this stables manages both horses transported overseas, as well as the many donkeys used to haul ships in to port.

How can I use this map?

There are many potential ways to use this map in your adventures:

1. Campaign Starting Location - for your new campaign, consider this port as a great starting location for a party meeting at the tavern after arriving in town. There are several points of interests to get them connected to NPC's, lots of opportunities to find work, as well as the potential for turmoil within the district itself, as the party may find itself embroiled in a turf war between guilds, mercenary outfits or at odds with the local law enforcement.

2. Quest Hub - if your party find themselves on the water, they may need to make port for repairs and supplies, finding themselves in an environment with a wide variety of opportunities for earning some coin while they wait. It would also be an easy way to transfer them to a new destination via ship and crew.

3. PC Background - One of your PC's may be from a port city and have ties to an old thieves' guild, mercenary outfit, or have family living in the area. This would provide a detailed and immersive world to which they could bring their new murder-hobo friends.
