Random Encounter Map | Swamp Trail [45 x 60]

"Tiny lights clung to the rotten wood of the bridges like smoldering barnacles, their dim light causing shadows to swim across the murky gloom of the swamp. Gnarled trees with skeletal arms and wispy moss loomed in the distance, swaying gently as a foul breeze drifted through their tattered canopy. Something loud echoed from the nearby shore, followed immediately by a splash.

Milimus, the cheerful halfling warrior, lifted his eyebrows and shrugged.

"It really doesn't look that bad."

Milimus shifted his backpack and pushed onto the bridge, an inquisitive expression upon his face as his diminutive figure disappeared into the mist that swallowed the latter half of the bridge.

The rest of the party stood motionless, their gaze transfixed upon the darkness ahead until a shrill voice called from up ahead.

"Come on! It's really quite lovely once you get used to the sme...oh, hello, now what may you be?"

This is a Random Encounter Map following a twisting path of old, worn bridges that navigate a murky swamp. There are a variety of points of interest, including interesting vegetation, flowers, an old ruined hut, monstrous nests, trees strung with skulls, stumps leading deep below ground and holes descending beneath the roots of large trees.

It could be used for many different types of encounters, as your party travels through the swamp, as well as for seeking out specific ingredients, creatures or items.
