This is my interpretation of the Haunted House from the adventure, Sinister Secret at Saltmarsh in the Ghosts of Saltmarsh module.
The map features [3] floors, with the 2nd Floor being represented as a transparent PNG tile that can be layered atop the initial map within your VTT of choice. I've also included a concept image from Midjourney to help set the scene.

As with many of the included maps in modules, there isn't much to offer with regards to the exteriors, so I've added more room around the house, along with the cliffs and coastline, which ties into the lower level of the map itself.

Why the extra room, when the action's inside?

Many DM's have mentioned to me that, while they certainly follow the spirit of the module/adventures, oftentimes they want to modify or expand a given encounter for a variety of reasons.

They may want to include part of a party member's backstory that they chose to tie into the location.
They may be running this adventure for the 8th time and want to both present something different, as well as give the players a chance to encounter something different than last time.
Their party members may be arriving here at at different level that what was intended, so they feel the need to expand the threat.
They want to give their players the opportunity to come up with plans, tactics and explore a space they may not know is "safe" by including it on the map. If the only map is the interior of the building, then the players may assume "well, nothing is going to happen until we actually get inside" -- which may not be the behavior the DM wants the players to have.

If you aren't running the adventure, the three floors would still make a great haunted house location -- because the additional areas of the lower level are all cordoned off by secret doors you can choose not to exist.
